PRINCE2® Foundation

This is an intensive 3 day course that will equip delegates to work in and manage projects using the PRINCE2® project management method, and prepare delegates for the Foundation examination (included in the course price) which will be taken at the end of the third day of the course.

PRINCE2® is the most popular project management training subject in the UK.  PRINCE2® is the “de facto” standard for project management, and the qualifications associated with the method are a great demonstration of competence for those who are in, or are seeking to enter, the project management environment.

The 2009 edition is the latest update to the PRINCE2® manual, “Managing Successful Projects with PRINCE2®,” 2009, The Stationery Office.  It reflects the latest best practise knowledge available in the project management field.

Course Content

This course aims to provide the delegate with a solid knowledge of PRINCE2® and covers the theory and practical implementation of the method.  In order to deliver the best training experience and best chance of passing the associated examination, the course covers the PRINCE2® examination syllabus.  The syllabus contains the following knowledge areas:

In addition, the trainer will spend time preparing delegates for the examination.  Please note that a major part of the exam preparation is contained in the homework set each evening of the course.  Delegates should allow up to two hours each evening for homework.

Entry Requirements

There are no formal entry requirements for this course.  All course content and the examinations are based on the TSO publication “Managing Successful Projects with PRINCE2®” which each delegate will receive as part of their pre-course work pack.  We recommend that approximately 10 hours is spent of the pre-course work.  A general appreciation of the project environment may prove advantageous to some delegates.  Please contact us if you are uncertain about the suitability of this course for your requirements.
